Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment which involves bleaching your teeth to make them lighter. The best way to keep your smile healthy and bright is to look after your teeth and gums, but it’s not unusual to need a little help.

Why choose us for teeth whitening?

Only dental professionals registered with the General Dental Council, like our dentists, are allowed to perform teeth whitening. Whichever whitening option you choose, you can rest assured that it’s safe and effective.

You’ll need to have an initial consultation before you can go ahead with teeth whitening treatment, to double check your teeth are suitable.

You might consider teeth whitening for different reasons. Your teeth can lose their whiteness with age but can also become stained by smoking or drinking lots of tea, coffee or red wine.

Restoration of Implants

Restoration of Implants

Dental implants are favoured over bridges and dentures as they are seen as a permanent and aesthetic solution to the problem of missing teeth. Plus they are strong and durable and fit in well with a busy lifestyle.

The term ‘restoration’ is used to refer to a false tooth. This tooth is then attached to the implant and looks and behaves in the same way as a natural tooth.

Referrals for Implants

A dental implant is a long-term solution for replacing missing teeth. Your dentist places them directly into your jawbone, where they provide an artificial replacement for the root of your missing tooth or teeth. They can support crowns or dentures, in a similar way that roots support natural teeth.

Having missing teeth can really knock your confidence, as well as affect the way you eat and speak. Dental implants offer a long-lasting and discreet choice of treatment for replacing teeth.

Cosmetic Crown & Bridge

Cosmetic Crown & Bridge

A dental bridge is a method your dentist will utilise when there is structural or cosmetic damage to the teeth. For example, a bridge could be necessary if there is a gap after a tooth has been lost or has come loose.

Typically, a dentist has to decide whether a bridge is a better solution that implants, notably when several teeth are missing. Dentists prefer them to implants because they are less invasive, more affordable, and require less maintenance when installed.

Composite Bonding

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding offers a minimally invasive solution for minor damage or gaps in teeth.

Bonding is usually used for filling chips, or gaps between teeth, or for making small corrections to the shape of your teeth . A composite resin is attached to a tooth and shaped to restore its original appearance. The colour of the resin is matched to your teeth, so it will appear as though it is a natural part of the tooth.

Cosmetic Veneers

Cosmetic Veneers

A veneer is a thin moulding, custom-made from porcelain, which is bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Veneers are a quick and effective solution to stained, chipped, misshapen or crooked teeth. They can also be used to cover gaps in teeth where orthodontic treatment may not be suitable.

Veneers are a cosmetic treatment. A precise shade of porcelain can be chosen to give the right colour to improve a single discoloured tooth or to lighten your front teeth.

Cosmetic Dentures

If you have missing teeth it can affect the way you look and make your speech less clear, which may affect your confidence. Cosmetic dentures can help you smile with confidence again, and they can improve your everyday life by helping you to eat more comfortably and speak more clearly

Depending on how many teeth you have missing, you may have a full or partial denture. You may also have a temporary partial denture while you’re waiting to have a bridge fitted.
